The cape is the simplest piece of rainwear there is: a piece of sealed material over the shoulders, open at the bottom.
Yet, or perhaps precisely because of that, it has accompanied people through wind and rain for more than a hundred years, at work, on duty and on the way
to work.
The Farmerrain cape builds on that shape, in a material made to last season after season.
Sealed from above, airy from below
Our capes are made from Biovinyl+, 430 grams per square metre, with a water column above 20,000 mm and double-welded seams.
That is the top level on the scales the industry commonly uses.
Rain runs off outwards and downwards, while the cape is open at the bottom so air can circulate.
That makes the cape one of the airiest rain garments you can choose.
• Fully waterproof, water column above 20,000 mm
• Double-welded seams
• Biovinyl+, 430 g/m²

Find your cape
The cape goes over whatever you are already wearing and leaves plenty of room for layers underneath.
The models have different characters:
• Classic Cape has a timeless, straight and structured silhouette, a buttoned front, a hood and discreet side openings to put your arms through.
It comes in black, shiny navy and
yellow.
• Exclusive Cape is our homage to the cape as a fashion garment.
The flared cut gives volume and movement, and it has a hood, built-in sleeves and pockets.
It comes in glossy black and glossy red.
Cape, rain jacket or anorak?
The cape is the quickest to put on and the airiest to wear, and it also protects the upper legs.
A rain jacket sits closer to the body and has more pockets, and an anorak keeps out the most wind.
In strong wind the cape catches more wind than a jacket, but for everyday showers it is hard to beat.
