Remakeable Seat Cushion
Using by-products from our local area, we create new things that bring joy and promote social togetherness in a circular, economic and social way.
This beautiful seat cushion has a core of off-cut pieces from mat manufacturing in Emmaboda, topped with a wool fabric left over from cutting out sound absorbers in Nybro. The underside of the cushion is made from PVC deadstock material or other surplus or colour-damaged fabric from our rain gear manufacturing and development department.
Of the product’s weight:
- 99.9% Reused material
- 0.1% New material in the form of sewing thread
The product is also manufactured in Emmaboda by ReMake, which creates specially adapted employment opportunities for people on their way into Swedish working life. https://www.mojligheternashusab.se/remake.html
This is done with a focus on Agenda 2030 sub-goals 5, 8 and 12:
